In the United States, the song on top of the Billboard charts for this week in 1980 was Blondie with Call Me.  The disco vibe was still going strong in the charts on both sides of the ocean.

Surely, one of Chrissy Hynde’s finest hours. Also, a pretty decent video considering how early into the medium it was at the time.

One the same date in the United States, the number one song in the Billboard chart was Michael Jackson with Rock With You.  Released off of the classic Off The Wall album, it is also considered to be one of Michael Jackson’s finest vocal efforts.
